Yeah I agree, it just doesn't feel like Christmas. I think it's the weather down here. You are not the only one out of it, we had a discussion at work and about 65% of my co-workers felt the same way.

The weather may have a lot to do with it. Christmas always conjures up visions of snow and cold, and if you live in a climate like Florida, where it's sunny and temperatures rise to the 70's, or anywhere else where the weather is moderate, that can squelch the Christmas spirit. There are other factors, of course, and I can't pretend to know what your particular situation is. But if you get together with family and exchange gifts and have a nice dinner together, that will help. Also, doing something nice for someone, even a stranger. Bringing small gifts to elderly people in a nursing home, or kids in an orphanage, gathering groups of people together to sing carols in your neighborhood, or just walking through the shopping malls and seeing all the decorations and hearing holiday songs can often times get one in the Christmas mode, as you call it. Maybe I can start the ball rolling by wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! And may Santa be good to you this year!

It doesn't feel like Christmas to me either. This year (06) has gone way to fast. The other seasons went by fast too. I live in a part of Wisconsin that never got much snow, so far. I get more into Christmas when we have snow on the ground, not brown grass. So far all we've had is rain, makes me feel really down. I try to watch Christmas shows w/ my grand-kids to keep in the spirit. Find a friend to chat with who can get you into the mood. Merry Christmas, and try to have a happy new year.

there are many reasons why you could be out of the mood. but maybe put on some Christmas music that is fun and up beat and sing along with it. think about the time you get off to spend with the family and friends. maybe even watch a Christmas movie, or wrap a few presents.
i know when my cash flow is low or alot of bills are due and my time is limited or even the weather is to warm i have a hard time getting in the Christmas mood. and sometimes it reminds of times when certain loved ones and for what ever they are not going to be there i tend to get down. i hope you get in the spirit soon. good luck and merry Christmas.

I feel the same. I think It's because it's warm like 60 where i live right now and i was really hopeing for some cold weather maybe even snow. I live in maryland i mean come on it shouldn't be 60.
Play some x-mas songs, wrap some gifts...thats what i've been trying to do. watch a x-mas movie. spend time with family and friends.

I think sometimes we become stressed out and overwhelmed with the commercial side of Christmas. Christmas is hard on finances, and a flurry of activity. I was a little sad to find that as I shopped, not one store cleark wished me a Merry Christmas unless I wished them one first. I was feeling "Bah Humbug" too, and then decided to change my attitude. I started playing Christmas CD'S and wishing people a merry Christmas. I also decided to make a lot of my gifts this year. Christmas is supposed to be about showing appreciation and love to friends, family, neighbors, and strangers in the spirit of Jesus, in celebration of His birth. My niece was telling me on the phone today how she went Christmas shopping yesterday and encountered a lot of very rude and mean people. It's easy to become disheartened and down when we lose sight of what Christmas is really about. Let Christmas joy begin with you! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family!

Christmas, or should I say the"spirit" of Christmas should be in our hearts year round. Something has happened to cause you to lose the spirit of Christmas. Think back and once you figure it out and realize you are past it, maybe you can start living again. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.
