On days when it is too much, I find a quiet place and close my eyes and pray.

Actually, I have too many day's like this.. I used to kind of mope around, unhappy .etc.. I would listen to music , and that would make me feel better.. Now, I play spades on yahoo games, it is so much fun, and you have to concentrate on the game so much you dont have time to worry about the bad things for that monent, You can play as long as you want , and hopefully the next day you are having a much better day and can cope and get on with the ups and downs life throws our way ...

Great Question

Good Luck

Merry Christmas

Reminisce about the good times. It's called day dreaming! I don't have too many bad days so this to me is a great release. I just vision what it's like zipping though the water at 60+mph on the jet ski. After a couple seconds I've got an ear to ear grin. God that's fun! It helps to go out in the garage and start them up for a few seconds too. So go out and start up your day dream! Escape from the reality for a moment. Just remember to come back to reality! Problems never go away on their own!

When I'm sitting around thinking about life and when I have all my problems weigh me down I try to stop and think.... Man there is someone out there in a way worse position than me and here I am moaning about dumb stuff... sometimes the super fast pace of modern life catches up on us and we need to take a break and relax the mind and body. My mother told me there's always a solution to a problem... just takes a little perseverence and a lot of self awareness :)

On days when it is too much, have a good cry, take a nice hot bubble bath, reflect on what can be done; pray on the rest; Above all, pray. There were times when things got to be too much, but somehow with God's help, I made it through. Also, read the Psalms in the Bible; it's a great help.

yesterday was one of those days for me. a really stressful day at work..my car broke down had to stay up for 23 hours so that i could go pick up my husband from his job......so what did i do. i took a minute when i was getting really overwhelmed at work and i went into the walk-in cooler and cried. then i went back on the floor to finish running my shift. then i talked to my boss about how i could have handled the day better. and he made me feel much better. i find having an emotional release and talking about how to avoid the problems in the future are very helpful.

When things are getting on top of me during the day - I stop and just go somewhere I can be alone and scream, or just go through the motions of pretending to scream.

Admittedly at work -sometimes, people have given me crazy looks but it's hard to describe how much energy it releases even if you just go through the motions!

I bake.
The meticulousness of measuring, planning, and well, cooking, settles my nerves.
Then, once the dough is ready to be kneaded, I beat the living cr@p out of it.
Very cathartic.
And bread fresh from the oven, smothered in butter and homemade jam is tops for indulgence points.

Course, my waistline suffers a bit, but I'll never need prozac!

I look at myself - squarely and without excuses. Because usually when life seems too hard it's because my expectations haven't been met or it's been too long since I expected them to be met, I don't have the courage to pick up and make a change. Usually when I deal with it, it changes. What was too hard becomes possible.

I do not know why life is so hard but it sure can be! even though it seems so difficult at times, there are also times when life is joyous beyond belief.
When I am going through tough times, I love a bubble bath, my robe, a great book and the phone off the hook!
