Recent scientific study has shown trans fatty acids are the least beneficial to humans. They are not easy to beak down in body and gets converted into triglyceryde which is very harmful.

mmm if u want too us as frying oil unsaturated acid more beneficial, because they will in liquid phase in room temperature, so its more healthy for you.
usually unsaturated more expensive than saturated fatty acid.
unsaturated commonly as essential oils like omega-3, omega-9.
but sometimes when u want to make candle u will need saturated fatty acid. because saturated fatty in solid phase in room temperature.
conclusion: which is beneficial? its depend to the objective use the of fatty acid, but in commercial side, unsaturated fatty acid its more valueable.\

Trans fatty acids (a subclass of unsaturated) are the least beneficial to humans, according to recent scientific data. Just consider that the FDA is now having products that contain trans fats labeled (and they take forever to move on health hazards in food, usu.).
This is why butter (sat. fat) is now being pushed as preferrable to margarine (unsat) and why you can now see some margarines labeled as 'no trans fats'.
Biochemically, the fatty acid oxidation pathway (the one that uses all fats as energy sources by breaking them down into 2-carbon units) cannot break all trans fats down for energy...that means that they end up circulating in bloodsteam causing lots of negative effects for humans, esp. raising the LDL (bad) cholesterol which increases risk of cardiovascular disease.

Saturated. Because the carbons are in a straight chain, with hydrogen atoms sticking off, they "pile" up easily in your arteries and clog them. Plus, they are more easily stored in the subcantaneous fat regions of the body for the same reason.

Saturated are worse because they are more difficult to digest. They do not have bends in their chains and therefore do not react as readily.
