A Bankers draft is a cheque drawn on the banks own account for which you pay a fee. If you have a bank account they will deduct the amount from your account otherwise you pay them cash. They usually charge £15 to£20 for the service. I may be wrong but I was under the impression that Postal Orders no longer exist.

People usually ask for bankers drafts as they are gauranteed. They may also accept building society cheques issued by the building society as these are also gauranteed

Bankers draft you need to know their account number...branch and sort code..then do a transfer from your account either at your bank or by phone. You will need to arrange this with the other persons agreement. Postal orders you buy from the PO for the amount...there is a small charge on top... and then you have to send to their address.

Bankers draft: go into your bank and ask them to raise a cheque from your account made payable to whoever for whatever amount (beware some banks charge for this facility)
Postal order; go into the post office and ask for a postal order for whatever amount you want it to be...they'll ask you if you want it payable to someone (advisable) and also if you want it crossed (advisable again as only the person its payable to can then cash it) Small fee involved again, depending on amount of postal order.
