and i'd go with the big ipod. more memory is alot better. unlike the shuffle and like the nano, you actually got a screen to search thru the library for a song you wanna hear

It depends on what you want to use it for. If you want a player that is EXTREMELY small but only holds say 200 songs, and you would primarily use it for working out, or walking around town or what not, then get the shuffle as it's like $79. If you want something to play more songs like 500, 1000, or 2000, and also be able to see a screen and have other extras, then get the nano which is for $149, $199, or $249 (though I don't see the point in that one). If you want a player that also can play video and can hold over 5000 songs then get the regular ipod for $249. It really depends on the amount of music you have. Personally I want all my music on one player and I have a lot so I need the bigger ipods. A benefit of the nano is that it uses flash memory which means it doesn't skip if you are running with it.

Hope that helped.

I would go with the iPod. Although the other two are smaller, there is room for your music collection to grow with an iPod/video iPod. Definitely do not get a shuffle unless you don't care about having a limited amount of music and no freedom to choose what you're listening to.
You also might want to consider getting a Creative Zen Vision: M. They are about the same price, have the same storage capacity, and although there are more accessories for iPods, Creative has a bearable amount of accessories to choose from, plus has an FM tuner, and voice recorder on it. If the fact that a Vision: M is a little bigger than an iPod [stack two iPods on top of each other, that's how thick it is, the rest of the dimensions are the same] then you might want to give a decent amount of thought to purchasing a Vision: M. Or at least do some comparing of your own between the two.

an iPod. i'm guessing you'll probably buy the iPod video, not the original. the iPod video can play videos, movies, those sorts of things, it can be used to store pictures, and of course, play music. it is the largest of the three and thereforehas the largest screen. an iPod nano has the characteristics of an iPod but is smalller and can't play movies. an iPod shuffle doesn't have a screen at all. you can get different capacities for different prices: check out www.apple.com have fun!

none of them. Get the iPod mini. it's not the newest and greatest, but that's what makes it inexpensive compared with all the other ones, and for $150, you can hold 1,000 songs. This iPod will be great for you if you don't really care about holding videos or photos, because the ipod mini simply holds songs-and lots of them. They come in colors, too. You can find refurbished ones on Apple.com and on ebay, but I don't suggest buying one (or ANY iPod ) on ebay. You just can't guarantee the service and quality of the item.

It really depends on like how many songs you know or like to listen to. If you don't know a lot of songs or listen to a lot of songs then I reccommend an ipod.
