Use the wizard to detect your hardware and install the driver

This usually occurs if you have a dial-up internet connection and if you put it to stand-by or hibernation before you disconnected. Do the following to resolve this problem:

1) Restart the computer through the Start menu.
2) Then check My Computer and see if D is there.
3) If it's not, then do the following:

1) Get out the OS (operating system) CD.
2) Restart the computer and press F12 or whatever the button is for the boot menu. (usually at the top)
3) Put the CD in and select CD-ROM
4) Follow the instructions and then do what it says to restore a previous copy of the system.

I experienced your problem and it was simple to fix it.

Look at Toms Hardware site, Fred Langas site, both will tell you the same thing:
1rst: Back Up all data.
2nd Re-Boot:
3rd: Back up all data
4rth:Did you back upi your data? good, we continue now...
The problem or error is 99.9% of the time User Error, the problem you are describeing will tgake some adjustments in the Boot Sector or BIOS or both.
Got them backups ready? ok

^^^^that one shows you a windows way of getting around a BIOS boot, but I am not certain on anything the any software company makes a profit from.
