the first question i asked was a serious 1, i was desperate 4 and really needed a sensible answer.
i got flack, insults, that thankfully were immediately removed and had no choice but give best answer 2 the only polite comment i got.
i hung around 4 the entertainment, found out things that i would never have heard of otherwise, have made friends in far off places, wound the odd few up with my statements and even more often than not, helped people.
i like 2 help, but catch me in a silly mood and it's pure entertainment value that i keep coming back here.

No. I am here for fun. I don't know if my answers are helpful or not, but I try to answer based on what I knew, heard, read or experienced. I am always a curious person my self, curious of what people do not know, want to know, know or think they know.. everything and everybody! Serious or not serious, I will ask or answer. Entertainment? Well I guess not enough entertainment for me just to type in here. Maybe yes for others.

It WAS a serious question I came here for, tho not a life-changing one.
At first I stayed on cuz I wanted to ask my question again a few weeks later (unfortunately the first time around I didn't get the answer that could help me any further, which doesn't mean I wasn't thankful for the answers I DID get)....so I stayed on and started reading the other questions....and now I'm hooked, LOL.

I wanted to hang around for a educational learning tool. Then I had to ask questions and then I started voting. If they ever take it a way I'll go nuts.

Yes. I needed to know if anyone had ever witnessed a green sunset. A friend of mine had witnessed this phenomenon only once in his lifetime. I received quite a few answers and was surprised to learn that lots of other people had witnessed one. They I just got hooked.

No...I just use to answer ones over in family. Women asking questions about men and all. I loved that. I would get all mad and stuff. That is what go me hooked on the site. Never been big on asking questions.

I saw it on my home bt page so I thought i'd take a look, and here I am. I usually answer questions. I do it to pass the time as I'm home alone alot.
