Better way... Start>All programs>Accessories>System Tools> System Restore.
Restore back to before you installed it (there will be a restore point that your comupter automatically made). It will be like you never ever downloaded it!

1.) install CCleaner ( http://www.ccleaner.com/download/ ) utility to clean up bad installs - it is free but they would like a donation.
2.) Use CCleaner go to control panel add/remove programs go to “add/remove windows programs ‘UN-CHECK’ Internet Explorer.
3.) Use CCleaner go to TOOLS, find “Internet Explorer 7” and remove it .
& Reboot
4.) Use CCleaner go back to Add/Remote programs then Add/Remote Windows programs CHECK back under Internet Explorer.
& Reboot
5.) That should be it - You have Your IE 6 look back.
You could alternatively continue to use the improved Trident engine of IE7 with a browser shell program such as Mathon. That has the look and feel similar to old IE 6 and some extra goodies such as mouse gestures, impoved privacy features ...
I would choose the later option if i would like IE Trident engine better - there are several good shells not only Maxton.
Several browser with other engines are faster & have more advanced engines than IE 7 - especially Opera (Presto engine) and K-Meleon ( the later uses the same engine as Firefox ).

You can only either uninstall the version and re install the older, or accept the new version as it is, this is as update, means some newer vision.
OK, I just did try it, I have uninstalled the 7 then I already found the older "6"
thats all.

You may still have the old one installed. Doing a search for the version you used to have may find it. You might also be able to download an installer for the old version.
Better yet, you should quit using Internet Exploiter entirely and switch to Firefox.

I recommend you stick to IE7 even though you dont like it. It has fixed a lot of the security holes that existed with IE6!

My understanding is that it is one of those updates that you cannot remove, once installed.
