I love mortician, cannibal corpse, not for their lyrics, but for their music. I put them on my Mp3 player when I'm at work, jogging, or if I need to think. I don't care about the lyrics. I think the cookie monster vocals as just being another intsrument. death is so much more intense than other kinds of metal. I don't fit in with other "metalheads" at all, but I love the music. does anyone else think death metal is great music, and listening to it doesn't mean you have to follow a certain lifestyle (i.e. drugs, fighting, criminal records, satanism/atheism, or wearing black clothes all the time to try and intimidate people)?

dude, i've always thought that! everybody thinks that i'm not a true metal head because i don't do drugs or have sex with everyone. i do wear gothic-like clothes but not all the time and people think that because i like metal that i should. and i hate how when i tell people i like metal they're always like "oh, do you worship satan? do you do drugs? blah blah" I like the music for the music and i don't have to live a certain lifestyle in order TO like it. and i love cannibal corpse too.

I was listening to some metal the other day and this guy comes up behind me and says, " You listen to metal? You seem more like the classical music or folk music chic to me." I felt like kicking him in the balls. Yeah, I wear black, but I don't do drugs, smoke, fight, have a criminal record or any of that type of sh.t so apparently people think I listen to classical music.... what retards...

I love the guitar in Death Metal. I play guitar myself and love some of the kick *** riffs played by Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel,Old Slayer, etc.

screamo, i think of for the greater youthful-teenage crowd and then dying metallic for the older men that think of that they are rock stars whilst working around of their undies and leather-based vests of their mothers and dads basement (thats who likes dying metallic)
