First pregnancy-used condoms EVERY time (miscarried though)
second pregnancy-Ortha Evra (the patch
third pregnancy(nuva ring)
Just goes to show you that when you are meant to have a baby, you will have one no matter if you are on birth control or not. Good luck.

They say it's 99% effective partly because there can be human error involved in using it, and so they can't be sued if you don't take it right and get pregnant anyway. If you're on the pill, you need to take it every day at the same time of the day. If you're using other birth control like the patch or the ring, you have to follow the instructions to a T and use a backup method when you don't do it as directed. If you're still not sure or anxious that you may become pregnant, you should avoid having sex altogether.

Birth control, when taken every day, at the same hour every day, without missing a pill, and perfectly regulated by your doctor with the proper amount of hormones, is 99% effective.
however, dosages are wrong a lot, it takes three months to make sure theyre right, girls dont take it at the same hour every day, or even every day for that matter, and some women just arent regulated to the hormones, which drops its effectiveness down to 92%.
Atleast one in every 100 women on the pill for a year get pregnant.
My friend was born while her mom was ON birth control. My other friend got pregnant twice with both her kids while on the pill.
Its always a good idea to take BC AND use a condom, or alteast some spermicide.

Yep, I have been on yasmin since 2005/2006 and in September 2008 i took antibiotics and obviously it stopped the pill from working and i had unprotected sex once and i am now 4 months pregnant. I didnt feel pregnant and i started to get sore breasts when i was 5 weeks, and quite emotional and found out when i was 6 weeks. Take a test to be safe you could be in for a wee suprise, email me if you want to no more all the best x

Birth control is a pretty complicated thing. Most birth control pills and patches deposit chemicals which make the woman's body think that she is already pregnant. Since it is impossible to become pregnant when a woman is already pregnant, this method usually works. However, sometimes the correct doses are not prescribed, sometimes the woman's body has chemicals in her to inhibit the drug she is taking. There are many different explination as to why it works for most women, but not that 1% of women.

well it depends on what type of birth control you are on if you're the depo then you have to let it run it's course to get out of your system because it's purpose is to make sure you don't get pregnant but in general no birth control isn't 100% accurate it just depends on you. If you're on the pill then there's always a chance that you could get pregnant because my sister got pregnant off the pill, to actually answer your question yes you can

Well, I'll tell you this. I was on ortho tricyclen lo for 5 years, never missed a pill and I got pregnant. I am now 8 months. So, yes, it can still happen. But the chances of it happening are very low. I guess I just was one of those 1 % chances, haha. Goodluck.

Yes, no birth control is 100%. The ONLY way to make sure you don't get pregnant is to not have sex. Every person's body is different, so you never really know.

Yes, you can still get pregnant. Good Morning America featured a military couple this summer who've gotten pregnant twice while the wife was on an oral contraceptive (OC). With the first pregnancy they had twins! The second time around, they had triplets!
