I once went up at lunchtime to see the dent in the ground when someone not famous jumped from the William Wallace monument in Stirling. There was still some fresh blood there, and police tape to keep people away.
There are many famous people whom I neither knew, nor do I know how they died.
John Smith died of a heart attack I believe. A heart attack is a fairly simple cause of death to register. Inhalation of vomit is another common cause of death. The cause of death, and the other factors surrounding a death, may create a confusion regarding the actual straw that breaks the camel's back.
For example, a heart attack could have been brought about by poison, a sudden bang of a door or many other factors.
How can anyone decide if a suicide occurred? It is a subjective judgement for which the truth could only be known if there was a witness. The only true witness would be dead, and so suicide can never be a cause (only a conclusion).

Dont know any famous ones but my son hung himself at aged 29, and yes I would like him to come back and just explain why.
