I am 34 weeks pregnant and getting really excited about the birth now... i decided not to knwo the sex of the baby for sure... but it is fun guessing...
There is alot of Myths I have been reading, and according to them i am having a girl because i crave sweet and have bad skin on my face, but then i am having a boy because the line on my belly comes up to under my boobs and i am carrying high.
anyone know any other myths i can use and see?
also did anyone know in there hearts what they were having? i am sure mine is a boy...

it has annoyed me people saying about i should be grateful whatever it is and as long as it is healthy then not to worry!
im not stupid!
isnt half the fun of not finding out the sex the guessing!
10 damn years i have waited to fall pregnant after being diagnosed with PCOS! so i am really offended that anyone thinks i care what sex it is! it could be a gorilla i would still be estatic! jez some people lighten up.. i am enjoying my pregnancy and i am soooo sooo excited about the arrival! girl boy or tree trunk i cant wait! ok :P

I've had four babies, and I always just knew. With the first two I didn't want to find out either. I just knew they were both boys. I was right too! The third time I was sure I was having a little girl. I wasn't wrong! At 13 weeks I found out I was having twins! I knew the second they told me there were two of them, that I was having a boy and a girl. I'm now the proud mother of three boys and a girl! If your gut is saying boy, that's what I would bet on.
Another fun way to "predict" the sex of your baby is called a chinese gender calendar. I always got a kick out of it! If you're interested in checking it out, here's the site for some. http://www.thelaboroflove.com/chart/pred.html

I am 38 weeks pregnant with my third and also don't know what I'm having. I am very excited. This is a myth but has been said that if the heartrate is between 120-140 then it is a boy, and if it is between 140-160 then it is a girl, so ask your midwife next time you go what the heartrate is. Good luck!

I have heard that boys tend to weigh a little bit more . . . . but I really think that depends on the person. My best friend just had her baby and he was only 6lbs 7oz. And he was carried to full ter m . . she actually was induced. But she knew from the minute she was pregnant that she was having a boy. As for me I dont really have a feeling either way, but the doctors say it looks like a boy. I will find out in 2 weeks for sure!
Good luck and congrats

That's weird you should just ask that as I just put old wives tales in search for a question as I was thinking about this myself, loads of different variants on there. I was just trying my wedding ring on a thread over my palm, circle for girl-side to side boy. Just suspend and hold above your upturned palm. It just dangled then suddenly started to gain momentum and did this constant really big circle, i'm only 12weeks so it's a long time to tell you if I have a girl, infact you'll have know for ages what you have.
Goodluck it's only a bit of fun after all.
I already have one son, Which I thought was aboy, till everyone said the way I was carrying was a girl, the speed of the heartbeat was a girl everything, I should have listened to my original instinct ! All the best not long now :o)

i know the midwife can usually tell the difference between a girl or a boy when u are pregnant, just by listening to the baby's heartbeat. my midwife told me it was a boy even before i knew for sure at my 20 week scan ! there is also another way that u are supposed to tell - when u are carrying a baby boy, u are supposed to put on weight all over your body, and if it's a baby girl, the weight gain is supposed to mainly be around the front. (boobs and bump ! ). this theory was proved right for me and my sister - i have a son, and she has 2 daughters and a son. so to me it sounds as though u are having a baby girl. good luck !

I heard if the heartbeat is over 140 it is a girl and if it is under it is a boy. Also if you had a lot of morning sickness it is is a girl as there hormones are clashing with yours. I don't know how scientific either of these are but it was right for my two. Good luck with the baby it won't matter what it is once it is in your arms.

Don't know about all those myths.Just keep on enjoying the guessing. I wasn't very good about guessing what I would have, but I do remember having worse morning sickness whilst expecting my son, but none with my daughters. Hope everything goes really well for you, and enjoy you're new baby whatever it is. Good luck. I feel quite envious. Happy Christmas too.

If I were you I would forget about the myths because I have had four children and all my pregnancies have been different. I hope everything goes well for you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

My friend just had a boy - her bump was certainly a lot more prominent than with her first child who was a girl.
How you feel could depend on what you expect to have, it is the father's 'seed' that determines gender, and as the majority of babies born in my husband's family were boys, I convinced myself I was having a boy with both my children. I was lucky, I had a boy first then a girl.
