Your question is confusing, do you mean carats as in dimonds, or are you talking about gold? For gold,
the lower the number, the least it's worth. Average is 14K.....18K, 24K have more gold in them.
If your talking about a gem, it depends on the cut and qualtiy of the stone. Your question is too hard to answer really, You wont know until you take it to a jeweler.

lol... 10kt gold, I see no mention of any STONES to have to worry about cut, clairity and whathaveya...
gold is usually Karat, not Carat, dont ask me why
and the value of them would depend on the condition, and gram weight
