This is a draw for me. I cannot decide between John Terry and Steven Gerrard. Both are excellent players, deserving of their roles as captain of their respective teams. They command their teams with dignity and vision. Both players are right where they are needed every time they are needed. Heck, quite often they appear out of nowhere to pick their teams up off their faces.
One important aspect of Terry's and Gerrard's personalities is the absence of arrogance and self-importance. They are completely unselfish. They are true team players who know at the end of the match it doesn't matter who scored how much or had the most shots on goal. What matters is how the team did overall, and which team won.
If it isn't obvious, I support Chelsea and Liverpool.... don't ask me to choose

Lee Bowyer is such a talented player, but he aint massivly known like Rooney or Lampard, which is a shame. I support West Ham of course

In Sheffield we have two teams (and I've heard all the jokes, thanks) though I have been brought up with the Owls I like both teams to do well. The Owls are mid table in the championship and clawed back a point today in a goal fest with southampton.
I admire John Terry as a player for his efforts in the England matches. Watching the internationals is enough football for me I'm afraid.

Gerrard, the complete footballer. I support Charlton, and I think we're going down. Saw steve at the Valley last week, he was magnificent, I will miss seeing the top players. Steve G' doesn't rate our manager much, wouldn't argue with him there !

Steven Gerrard. top class. He has everything one could ask in a player and he gives his 10000% everytime he is out there for his team. Any team in the world would love to have him in their side.
