I dont think I would take it as a put down. Even if she criticized you before. It takes a tough person to survive. I would rather be thought tough than weak.

Tough mentally or physically or both? I served three years in the Israeli army and graduated as a Lieutenant Commander of a special unit. I know a lot of women in Israel that are just like me. we look like beauty queens but we will calmly slash your throat and walk over your body to get a pedicure. So being tough is not a put down. Sometimes in life that is what you need to be.
If you feel this person is criticizing you or putting you down or negative in any way just kick them out of your life, that is what us tough people do.

*Wow thats what i use to do to this one boy. I use to tease him so much just because he "thought" he was tough. So then i got mad at him because he called my cousin a b word.* Any ways. lol. It depends. If i was a guy than no. since im a girl. no again. if your tough thats good. but it doesn't mean any thing! wellz good luck!

no shes not putting you down! i would think of it as a compliment! if your tough than that means you can stick up for yourself!! don't let her put you down !!! c'mon tell her that you know your tough!!lol i know you can do it!!

well, if she thinks your tough then for sure u were tought either with her/him and he/she is tryinh to send u a msg or she saw you dealing with some one toughly, maybe ur over reacting due to pressure in work or something like
i think she is trying to open ur eyes and advice, and u should consider
