Should the Religious Courts and Laws be banned by International Law for the sake of Human Dignity and Rights?

The History books are full of crimes against humanity committed from the last 4000 years of recorded history wheather it is Hindu Muslim Sikh Chritian or Jewish Religious laws their agenda was the same to kill and intimidate the people for their own gains. Lately THE ISLAMIC COURTS ARE RAISING THEIR UGLY HEAD SHOULD THEY BE BANNED FOR EVER .What is your opinion?

Yeah, the islamic courts should be banned, or better yet, destroyed. These nations have one agenda and that is to either convert or kill all Westerners.

Religous based interpatation of law should be banned, but it doesnt mean basic morals should be abandoned. For example, we have laws on the books to prevent old men having sex with 12 year childern that is ethical law to protect from sexual expilotation. Yet, if you view the law from ethical standard point, ad not from a religous stand point it makes sense. Common sense legal interpatation of what human rights are should be the goal. Justice should be fair to all parties involved, but its unethical very time to have justice eye for a eye. Islamic laws personally some of those laws are unethical, immoral , barabaric. Religion courts should be banned from the standpoint of basic human rights, so people convicted of petty crimes are not stoned to death, and females dont recieve lashes for reporting rape.

I am glad you ask this question, as it gives me the opportunity to respond to you and many more of these people who seem to not believe in any thing, there has been wars since the beginning of time , Cain slew Able started it, ther has been wars fought over a woman remember the Trojan wars? wars have been fought for almost as many reasons as there are people it seems, and yes there have been religious wars fought, but, do we have enough information on why these wars were fought ? sure some were nothing but for greed gold, but we were not around at the time and history is very sketchy pertaining as to what actually led up to these wars, the christian wars were fought hundreds of years ago, I feel Christianity has progressed considerable since then, don't you?most religions teach to live and to let live, peace and harmony with the exception of the Jewish and the Muslim religions, you seem to want to impress others that you are highly educated and intelligent, what do you so with the statement Ben Franklin made when he said , ":if there is no god invent one" here is a intelligent man who knew people need some thing to believe in, it will give them more strength,and what better Faith is there than Christianity? as Christianity teaches people to believe in god and to do unto others as they would have them to do unto you, with that philosophy what can you suggest that would be better?
if you say no faith at all? I think anyone who don't believe in any thing is surely not very intelligent , and don't have very much of a life or happy,faith is a strong motivator, I will be looking for your response.

Humanity like a human matures over time, your ability to condemn these courts is an example of our maturing culture. On the other hand humanity as a whole has not progressed beyond the age of nine. This is why group still what to rule their side of the play ground.
