I'm 13 years old, and heating up the car is part of my chores. I just wanna make sure that I'm heating up the car right early in the morning. I just start the engine and let it be, until the temperature gauge is on the right spot, then I rev it up for a few seconds. Am I doing it right?

The best way to warm up a car is to drive it slowly for the first few minutes. Idling a car just wastes gas and isn't good for the engine.

However, if you just can't stand being in a cold car for a few minutes, and insist on idling it to warm up, don't rev it.

OMG, I wouldn't let my 13 year old touch my car. I'm afraid he'd learn how to drive it and would come up missing a couple day. lol
