The Rover's a fine machine, but I'd pick the Escalade/Tahoe/Yukon. Other than the massive horsepower advantage, any GM dealer in the country can work on it if it breaks or the "check engine" light comes on. There is a GM dealer in nearly every US town. On your next road trip, count the Rover dealers you see and then think about what happens if the Rover breaks when you're out on the highway.
Every Autozone & PepBoys will have the Escalade's alternator, fuel filter, etc. if you need a part on the road or on a Sunday. Can't say that for Rover, Jaguar, etc.

The land rover would be a better choice given the fact that there is factory assistance for your car here in the country. With the Cadillac, this will not be the case. Unless you need a very big SUV, the Cadillac Escalade is better left forgotten. Land Rover Sport will make a very good five seater. if you need a proper seven seater, go for the Discovery. If you need more friendly advice, feel free to contact me.

I'd take the Land Rover Range Rover. Even though it's not as popularized as the Escalade, the Land Rover is unmatched as the off-road king, while maintaining high status luxury at the same time.

Neither one is highly rated for reliability by Consumer Reports, but the Cadillac (essentially a glorified Chevy Tahoe) will be the more reliable of the two.
In terms of on & off-road performance, the Land Rover is the better vehicle hands down with a superior suspension system and more sophisticated drivetrain.
If you are looking for a good, large, capable SUV, why not consider other marques? Toyota, Nissan, Honda all make very high quality products. The new Jeep Commander is also reputed to be very good overall.

Land Rover between those two.
Escalade is a glorified Tahoe. Land Rover has equal or better luxury, genuine heritage, performance and it would rape the Escalade off road. On top of all that it doesn't have (anwhere near as much) hip hop wanabe gangsta image.
