lied about weapons of mass destruction because he wanted to go to war in iraq. he also lied and said saddam was responsible for 9/11. the war in iraq has been a disaster and resulted in a lot of unnecessary deaths.

he's put us into the biggest debt in history by his terrible economic policies.

he's robbing us all by favoring economic policies for the rich, while everyone else struggles more and more to survive.

he didn't do anything about hurricane katrina even though they warned him beforehand about it. also global warming is going to ruin our planet, and it makes hurricanes stronger, resulting in more deaths. he's put people from the oil & gas industry into power, who are for making more money for oil & gas and against renewable energies. just look at dick cheney, he was the VP of halliburton. he even refused to sign the kyoto environmental treaty that every other country on earth but us and 1 other one signed.

he's against stem-cell research and abortion, so if you can see yourself ever needing an abortion or getting parkinson's disease, you shouldn't vote for him.

bush is terrible for america.

Congress did vote for the war. However, they did so based on misleading information provided by the Bush administration. In other words, the only reason Congress authorized military action in the first place is tha tBush misled Congress. That's why everyone is mad at him. You'll see different opinions as to how much of this was deliberate on bush's part, and how much was simply a mistake. Some was definately deliberate, but soe may have been a real lapse in intelligence and/or judgement. (I'll leave out my personal opinion). There is a second reason why people are mad at bush. Basically, its this: by the end of 2006 it was crystal clear that The American people no longer supported the war and wanted the troops to be withdrawn, or at least see a beginning to such a withdrawal. Bush--despite pressure from all sides--has refused to do so. We now have more troops in Iraq than we did a year ago. There's a lot more to this, of curse. But that's the core of the reasons why people are so mad at Bush about the Iraq war. A final note--I am a historian/sociologist. For you--as a high school student--I suggest you focus on listening to programs on the PBS stations about the war (and other isues). they give much better explanations than the commercial media. Good ones are NcNEIL/Leherer, Frontline, Tavis Smiley, the MCGlaughlin Report, Washington Week, and Charlie Rose BTW-thugh its not important to your qustion, the authorization is not an actual declaration of war, it is an autorization to use military frce. The difference is a legal issue (and may prove to be important)--the practical effect of the authorization is the same as if it were an actual declarationof war. The "network news" isn't bad--whether its FOX, ABC, CBS, or NBC--but they tend to be superficial. The PBS programs have the time and less commercial pressure, so they can do a better job.

Because of the War in Iraq...I'm one of the 30% or so that actually supports him and his decision though. I don't support War but I think that since he is our President we should respect his decisions and trust that he knows what to do.

He invaded Iraq by using false information.
There were no weapons of mass destruction.

The real problem is that he stubbornly sticks to a
course of action that does nothing to shorten the war.

Everyone wants a change of direction except him.

He started the war in Iraq and he is forcing both American Troops and Iraqi's to live in constant fear. Would YOU like to live day in day out just thinking to yourself if this was your last day on earth? I doubt it.

I think "disappointed" is more like it. And can you imagine the disappointed person who voted for him the second time around? It's almost over.
