Well that would depend on how you phrase the question.
(4-3=1) to the power of (6*7+5=47) gives you an answer of one.
(4-3=1) to the power of (6*7=42) +5 gives you an answer of six.

The Mathematical Order of Operations is as follows:

Rules:

1. Calculations must be done from left to right.
2. Calculations in brackets (parenthesis) are done first. When you have more than one set of brackets, do the inner brackets first.
3. Exponents (or radicals) must be done next.
4. Multiply and divide in the order the operations occur.
5. Add and subtract in the order the operations occur.

Since you didn't specify any brackest or parenthesis, we must assume that you are using this Order of Mathametics. So...

The equation becomes:
4 - [(3 to the power of 6) x 7] plus 5

Exponents are first:
(3 to the power of 6)= 729

The equation becomes:
4 - 729 x 7 + 5

Multiply and Divide in order from left to right:
729 x 7 = 5103

The equation becomes:
4 - 5103 + 5

Add and Subtract in order from left to right:
4 - 5103 + 5 = -5094

Answer is -5094

Well, 4-3 is 1
To the power of (6x7) or 42 is still 1, plus 5 = 6
If it's 1 to the power of (6x7 +5) then it's 1

When you say 4-3, do you mean 4 subtract 3, or 4 to the power of negative 3, as in indices?

1 to any power is 1

Without brackets: 4-3^6x7+5 = -5094

With brackets: (4-3)^6x7+5 = 12 OR

(4-3)^(6x7)+5 = 6

(4-3)^6x(7+5) =12

Big Brother...you decide!
