Ask your Dr. this is a place to get opinions and perhaps a consensus, but your particular pill may be different. Call at least and ask his/her nurse to really be safe and stauy unimpregnated.

Several years ago I worked in a family planning clinic and had to counsel girls about their taking their prescription birth control pills. The main thing is to take it at the same time every day. Morning or night doesn't usually enter into the decision, but you should consider something I heard all the time when I had young women who told me they were having trouble with their pills --- when I asked them if they took it at the same time every day, they frequently would say yes, every day at bedtime, but they did not go to bed at the same time every day, or get up at the same time every day. I usually found that NOON was a good time, because you are usually awake at that time (adjust this time if you work nights and are asleep at that time). The main thing is to find a time that you will be able to take 20 seconds to open the pack, swallow the pill and down a quick glass of water. The varying of times back and forth and back and forth, frequently causes break thru bleeding and other symptoms as well as making the safety factor less stable. Please do not forget, birth control pills are not 100 percent effective. If they are 98 or 99 percent effective, don't let yourself be part of the 2 percent who become parents without meaning to because you did not take your pills correctly.
Good luck - I am past this challenge at this time in my life, have three grown children, and am so glad that young women today have better protection for themselves so that they can make choices in their lives and the lives of their children.

Any physician or pharmasist could reccomend taking 2 pills the next day. and that i think of that's what you may desire to do. To be trustworthy basically commencing the %. usually the next day you would be high quality yet what you may desire to technically do is take 2 the next day and use back up delivery administration which incorporate condoms for a million week.

I agree with the others that its best to take it when you wake up in the morning....i tell a lof of my patients to take it when they go into the bathroom to brush their teeth. If you try to take it with food in the kitchen you may never make it to the kitchen in the morning if you are in a rush, but the one place you go to EVERY morning is the bathroom.

ugh i feel your pain. i work rotating shifts. unfortunately taking BCP's should be the same day to be effective. try and figure out a time each day you are awake for sure or take to your GYN about alternatives like the IUD or patch. shift work sucks. i feel for you...it can make doing anything on a schedule pure hell.

I always took mine in the morning. It's easy to remember, when you're getting ready for the day, take it then :)

Pick a time and set your cell phone's alarm. That way you remember to take it at the same time every day.
