i know this one!!! i saw the dvd!
the creators contact anonymously the best musicians in the world, and have them all come to the concert place. then then turn out the lights and the people play the music. and then the creators have their tech people coordinate the holograms with the music. it all works together well, and coems out BEAUTIFULLY in concert! btw, the lights are all off, so you never know; your next door neighbor couldve played a gorillaz concert :) the holograms are all 3-d too and look great as the music sounds

Currently, the do not do live concerts. However, they are planning a tour for 2008 i believe, where they will use hologramic imaging. Until then, they dont do concerts.

Wow that's a really good question. I'm not sure but I vaguely remember reading something about them saying they actually didn't do concerts...whether that's true or not I don't know. It would be hard yes...but kinda cool!

They probably don't do live concerts, but that's what I'm guessing. Good question!
