I wanted to play Joseph but I got given the part of the inn keeper.
It all worked out ok though. When they asked if there was any room at the inn I said...Plenty!!
I've got some TW*T chasing me about giving me thumbs down...pity we can't just have fun on this site without these weirdo's doing their strange and irksome stuff!

Hi George,
I auditioned for a Wise King, but ended up as a Shepherd.
Same as you, with a red & white tea-towell.
Hey Ho- "Silent Night" went OK though.
I progressed to a Monty Python sketch the following year, playing the John Cleese bit in the "Dead Parrot", which went down alright.
I didn't get the part of "Oliver" the next year, but ended up as the "Artful Dodger" A change if ever there was one!
I never made the role of Hamlet, as my limp was not convincing enough.
Happy days.
Bob.

I was in the fourth grade and the part of the princess was up
between the mayors daughter and myself. Of course she got the
part and I ended up in another part of the play. I was traumatized
until I found out that I could have a wand and a little tiara and then
I felt better. Considering I was not a frilly type but more down to
earth , a wouldbe tomboy if I was better in sports at that time , why it bothered me, I still don't know.
Cripe, the things you remember many , many years later.

I wanted to be the ghost of Christmas Past but instead they made me a homelss beggar person.
I was lucky enough to be angels and once Mary in the nativity. I kicked bottom, I was awesome (except when I got too excited dancing and dropped the baby Jesus and broke the doll).

In the infants we did Peter and the Wolf. I was the Cat, I was in the Choir and i was playing the recorder. I couldn't decide which i wanted to do so i did all three.
Had really wanted to just be the wolf though.

I never got the lead, I ended up being a snowflake or something equally as unimportant to the play!

I never got to hide in the choir... though I dearly wanted to. I hated being forced to center stage, and told to sing my heart out. A shy person forced to act... well, it did make me good at hiding what I feel in threatening situations.
