There's no way that will happen...

Every country has their own things that are important to them and they see the other countries as people that will stop them from achieving those important goals.

We keep butting heads and unless ALL people give in a little on their important issues, there will be no common ground.

Compromise is a two way street and that will never happen. There can never be a common government.

What would be wrong with a one world government? Presumably this government would be democratic, with a free market, with freedom of speach and freedom of information. There would be no rogue states, no need for wars, nuclear weapons or anything like that. People would be able to work together towards common goals - for instance we could have one world space program instead of NASA, ESA, and the Russian and Chinese space programs for instance.

Former third world countries (which would now be states in the one-world) would receive enough aid to develop and become valuable members of the community, instead of receiving enough aid to survive but never to really repay it in kind. The people there would be far better off - and eventually so would everyone else, with greater trading partners etc.

However if this government was an opressive, non-democratic reigime then there certainly would be a problem with that. But this is unlikely - I can't see how any of the nuclear states (except possibly China) would let that happen without destroying the world.

And for all those who fear the destruction of the "american way" you can rest soundly - many people view the american way as the modern way, so this country would be very very similar to america - but of course there would be some differences. Probably no more different than Europe is from the US, which really isn't very much.

i hate to agree with joey bagadonut , but I do believe we had better start praying for a strong leader such as Hitler was and just as ruthless or America will become another 3rd world country in a hurry, it is going down now rapidly, our manufacturing facilities and businesses are all leaving this country in droves leaving so many people with out Jobs and a viable way to earn a living, our standard has stopped improving , and is now on the decline ,what other evidence do you need to see the light?with out writing a book , we must make some major changes as greed is the main problem in America both the people and the corporations, and this must be rectified or we will be down on the amazon with a couple of pieces of tin nailed to a tree for our homes trying to raise our children, some of you people should try visiting some of these other country's then you would damn sure wake up and ask what can I do to make a difference ,America has had it to easy for to long but life is made of sacrifices and America had better learn to make some small sacrifices before we lose it all, our educational system is ruined, as so many other country's are beating us al around in Math, science , technology, etc, we came in in 5th p;ace this year, there are books on this subject and every one should read them instead of wasting their time going to ball games , and etc,
the elite want a one world gov, as they think they will be teh masters, what does the talmud teach? if we don't get a strong leader and learn to bite the bulllet the one world gov, will be here shortly

The one world government is on track and running full speed ahead.

I don't think we can stop it.....because the people who want the "OWG" control the press and many national governments and international conglomerates already......and the people of the world are asleep. They are too busy being interested in Oprah, Madonna the soccer championships and which NFL or NBA athlete embarrasses himself this week.

I think the OWG is inevitable.....and I hate it.

Sorry. There is already. As the CEO told Howard Beale in Network there is no Russia, there is no China, there is only the almighty dollar. Borders are only arbitrary, imaginary distinctions.
