Denver, Colorado made it legal for a person to have under an ounce of pot. Other U.S. cities have passed similar legislation. What other cities would be good canidates for something like this?

Since pot was made illegal to help the synthetic rope industry (Hemp rope was much better in many aspects, from breaking strength to stretching/deforming under strain ... we should legalize pot and re-energize the hemp industry! (Hemp is the tough, fiberous substance also available from the "demon" cannibis plant).

The only reason it was made illegal to cultivate was to protect the financial stake big companies had in synthetic (sp ... I never could spell) fibers. As such pot should be made legal, and the "over-users" (hard core pot users) should be held to the same conditions as alcohol over-users ... no driving while stoned, etc!

Although I do not use pot, and probably would not if it were legal (unless the buzz was cheaper than booze) I do support legalization of pot. It does seem to have some medical benefits, which alcohol does not, and is certainly no more damaging than alcohol!

Yes, I do have a bad habit (at least one!) and I admit it! I LOVE BEER! Pot ain't so much worse! Legalize it now, tax it (at about the same level as cigarettes and alcohol) and use this money to fight narcotics (pot is not a narcotic) and the date-rape drugs (some of which can not be classified as narcotics). Let the marketplace decide .... if pot was legal would it be able to compete with other "legal drugs" (like alcohol) used to escape reality?

All of them. If the government doesn't realize that they could clear the deficit by legalizing marijuana so they can tax it, then they need someone to draw them a picture. Maybe a pot of gold at the end of a smoke trail from a joint would make a point. It isn't any worse than alcohol and most of the country smokes it anyway. Lots of places are making it a very minor deal where they just write a ticket because of the burden on the courts to hear all those petty little possession cases.

Former AZ Senator Barry Goldwater, a true limited government conservative, tried marijuana & saw through the governments lies.
Marijuana should be legalized country wide.
Less government = better government.
State & federal governments were never meant to control citizens every move throughout the day.
Wake up & throw off the yokes!

I live in Colorado, and the feds have made it perfectly clear, that if Colorado won't enforce federal laws, then the feds will just send in more people to enforce them.

the cities can not do it themselves.it has to be done on the state level. and since constitutional state law supercedes federal law and state law trumps city ordinances, that is the only way it can be done. even if the feds legalized it, states can still vote to criminalize it.

all of them! If something as deadly and addicting as alcohol is legal, then why shouldn't marijuana be legal??? The US isn't progressing anymore, it seems we're going in reverse!

All of them. Or else we should bring back prohibition and outlaw tobacco while we're at it.
