I have a up to date central heating system inatalled in my home, but have a standard type Drayton wall thermostat.

I am thinking of getting a qualified electrician to install a deacent programmer.

Any ideas of a good programmer, and price please?

Your question is a bit confusing, are you saying that it's a room thermostat or a central heating programmer because you mention both, if its a room / wall thermostat, then a good replacement would be a honeywell wall stat about £6
If you are meaning a programmer, then i would go for a Potterton EP2000 easy to install and costs around £40 + fitting

Get a radio control programmable thermostat no wires to run so can be installed in any place without disturbing decorations. Cost should be less than £ 100 installed.

A Honeywell optimiser CM67 or TP5000 will do everything you need. Only two wires and a replacement, so you could do it yourself if you wish.
