Hip Hop aint really dead, but most of the songs are stupid now. Nas use to rap better songs, so he can't talk because that new song of his is stupid. So he's with the rest.

Now that him and Jay-Z are back it's not. But before they made their combacks, yes hip hop was dead. All hip hop talks about is females, money, and cars. But if you listen to Jay-Z's new song " Lost One " you know his hop is really coming back.

I think he is right because all rappers today talk or rap about is what kinds of cars they drive, how many women they can get, etc. Whatever happened to the days when rappers told life stories in their raps? I loved Tupac because he kept it real and told life stories but today you hardly hear that. I also love to hear some kind of encouragement or positivity in raps like Ludacris' "Runaway". Nas keeps it real, too.

yes, it is dead. it's becoming more materialistic and not about the art of writing and speaking the truth about life like the way it used to be.It's now about guns and how many cars these rappers got.
