Being HIV negative means that one does not have the HIV virus, right. If two uninfected people copulate, they do not pass on the virus because there is none to pass on. But if one of a couple happens to be infected, even if they do not know it, then the virus can be passed on to the partner during unprotected intercourse. By using a condom, an infected male prevents the transmission of his infected semen to the female. On the other hand, if the female is positive, then the condom protects the negative male from from infection. An uninfected couple using a condom will only be acting responsibly and not produce an unwanted pregnancy. That is far more sensible than blindly obeying outdated church views.

Absolutely. HIV (which is in the blood) can be passed to someone else with any blood to open skin contact and also if their blood comes in contact with someone elses mucous membranes (mouth, vagina, rear end, ect.) the virus can be transmitted due to the skin being susceptible to small tears.
