Have you ever tried to walk a cat on a leash? OOO, boy! At least you can take a dog for a run in the park. Play fetch, a cat doesn't fetch anything. Dogs are so loyal. A cat can turn on you in a split second. Cats love to snuggle though and it can get pretty hard to snuggle up with a Husky or some other huge dog. My favourite are dogs. I love them all, especially German Sheperds, Huskies and Black Labs.

Dogs and cats are both very affectionate and loving animals. The difference is that cats are loving when they feel like it, and dogs love you all the time, no matter what.
I have had both as pets and I love them all, but dogs are always a little more special for me.
I have also had a German shepherd and they are the best! I don't think that there is an animal more loyal and protective.

K, you didn't have to use a bad word to describe your dogs. I have had and do have a lot of dogs. If you have ever had a cat from kitten stage you should know that with your attention they will ever be devoted to you, though they won't show it! Until you are not there. They are kind of independent souls. I have never owned a cat/kitten, but have known a few, and the ones I have taken in, (from abuse), and were adopted the people that have adopted them feel they are the most precious gift..Currently I have 2 boxers 2 German Shepherds, 2 Samoyed's and a few little mixed breeds. Happy Holidays

I personally prefer cats over dogs. I have a lot of cats and I love every single on of them. What really gets me is whenever a big fluffy cat crawls on your lap, puts her paws up around your neck and purrs so sweetly. That's what I love best about cats, their purr. It so loving and sweet.
I also think cats are natural comedians. Whenever they get a toy mouse, they flip around and run into things trying to "kill" it. I also get little present like lizards and moles on my doorstep. I don't like it that they kill but the reason they give it to me is because they think I am the leader of the pack and they want to give me a present.
I love dogs too, they are loyal and fun. But in my opinion, they both are number one. No one can really say one is better than the other. They each have their perks.

Cats definitely! Clever, independent, clean, toilet trained, silent, the opposite of dog! I too have both, I love the cat as my baby and I am only stuck with the dog because I rescued him and haven't found a home for him yet. I am desperate, I really must get rid of him and I don't know how!

Dogs are dependant, people pleasers. A dog will stay with an owner even if it is beaten. Cats are thier own masters and refuse to be controlled and don't give a crap if you like them or not. If you need to feel needed, get a dog. If you want an equal relationship and can handle some rejection, get a cat.

Although I've owned some terrific cats, dogs get my vote, especially big dogs. My home doesn't feel complete without at least one.
