As many of you recall..President Bill Clinton got impeached for lying about sex he had with another consenting adult. George W.Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. His action has resulted in many, many unnecessary deaths of Americans and has torn this world apart. If you don't recall, way back when this Iraq mess got started, that his reasoning for going to war was the WMD, I suggest you do an internet search and verify this for yourself. The question is:
Why did Clinton get impeached for lying about sex and G.W.Bush not get impeached for lying about a war?

Because G.W. Bush is a Republican and we have lived in a Republican controlled nation.
Republicans do some very evil deeds and hide behind the mask of righteousness.
He is not getting impeached because no one in America really remembers why we went to war. They confuse the Twin Towers Tragedy with the war in Iraq.

Bush did not lie about weapons of mass destruction. The intelligence that was gathered by international teams claimed there were WMD. The decision to go to war was sanctioned by the democrats as well. Clinton was impeached because he knowingly lied. Bush may (or may not) have been misinformed as well as Congress. Impeach congress too then.

Because there's a difference between lying and being wrong. Bush did not lie about WMDs in Iraq, he and several other countries agreed that Saddam LIKELY had them. There was and is no way of determining 100% that he had them in 2003. We do however know for a fact that he did have them, since we gave them to him to fight Iran. However Saddam betrayed our trust and started using them on civilians. Just because we haven't found any yet doesn't mean they are not there. Iraq is a large chunk of land, for all we know Saddam could have thrown a dart at a map and buried them in the desert. That is like a doctor scanning half your brain and assuming you don't have cancer without searching the entire brain.

Because many more people in America are more uptight about things sexual (even between consenting adults) than they are about their sons and daughters being sent off to war.
Someone sent me a comment making the rounds on the internet several months ago: "Would someone please give President George W. Bush a (reference to an oral sex act) so we can impeach him!"

Clinton was under oath when he lied!!
Its not illegal to lie!
On the otherhand, lying about WMDs in Iraq is certainly punishable by impeachment, but clearly nobody in office with that power is doing it. *sniff sniff* I smell a rat!

Bush didn't lie. If he lied about Iraq, then so did clinton and every congressmen that has been in office for the last 16 years has too.

I'd say because G.W.Bush has more connections than Clinton had. His fathers an ex-president his brother helped his votes in Florida so the more peolpe you have on your side the better your chances are of staying in office.

It isn't. Everyone expects the odd white lie especially from politicians, but when it comes to something as important as going to war and peoples lives, it is disgusting and shame full.

first of all clinton was not impeached....that would have resulted in al gore being president....as for bush we know he was mistaken and I prefer to think thats what it was a mistake in judgment however I think it was arrogance in himself..to get even with saddam for trying to have his father assassinated when he was in office...saddam did need to be taken out but I really think there could have been another way....God bless
