A difficult subject, Tim. Of course people are going to be offended no matter what. My husband and talk about this often, however it's easy because we have enough food & are fortunate to live in the U.S. - but our conclusion is somewhat close to B... when you feed people, they stay alive, become strong enough to have children, and then you have more people who need food - and the world becomes overpopulated. So, maybe instead of not feeding them, we need to tell them not to have sex - but who is that to say as well. I believe in the evolution of things, and perhaps this many people aren't meant to survive on this planet. I'm curious to see what other people have to say.

I used to think like the other respondents until it happened to me. Answer is, yes feed them, but not unconditionally. You can't learn anything, or do anything when you're starving. We all (well most of us anyway) want to achieve and be self sufficient. It is encoded in our genetics more than generosity is. However, just giving people money or food is probably the worst thing you can do. Don't turn them into beggars. Make it conditional. Make them clean your house or something. Just give them a go. It's the hardest form of charity. The easy thing is just to give them money and hope they will go away.

Yeah, and the bit about population, it is a well established fact that people with more money breed less.

they should be fed, but at the same time why dont the poor and hungry ppl find a job? im sure someone out there will be kind enough to give them a job since there in need of money and food.

if they live on streets, then they wont have to worry about paying rent and any other utilities bills, the only thing there going to spend their money on is food, clothes, and any blankets or fabrique to keep warm during winter.

we don't need "to find" anything, we already have the money and the means I really believe poverty is about the wealthy and powerful needing to keep poor people down for their OWN needs of feeling important and powerful , just imagine if everyone had enough and if we were all on a level playing field , how could the rich feel they are the big stinkin' cheese that everyone else envies and how could anyone feel they were "better than" someone else?

D Provide seeds and animals so people can raise their own food and have a source of income from selling their extra crops or milk. Maybe I'd provide them with some food until their crops came in for use.

My thoughts on this is, feed the hungry and they will be back for more. Show the hungry how to grow or work for there own food and they will not be one of the hungry any longer....

Yes -- they should be fed broccoli and carrots ... that way we don't have to spend money burying them, but they have a strong incentive to better themselves so as to eat real food, like burritos.
