If your looking for Winter, take Michigan out.
Shopping -
Denver: Lots of shopping malls that are great.
Minnesota: Has the Mall Of America
Fishing:
They dont call Minnesota the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes for no reason.

Well, for ALL of those things at once, I'd have to say Minnesota. For winter sports in Michigan, you'd have to be in the UP, and they have no shopping there, thats for sure!! They do have some nice resorts for the ski areas though. I just don't think of ice fishing when I think of Denver...but you know, Minnesota has over 10,000 lakes, so I'm sure you could find one to fish on!!

Well, first of all, if you want winter sports, Michigan is very humid and rainy. There is NO SNOW!! As, for Minnesota, they have a fair amount of snow. But Colorado, man oh man, they have over 60 in. of snow!!! (the airports for Denver are packed with people from delayed flights.)
As for shopping goes, Michigan has many malls, depending on where you go. In Canton, there is an Ikea. They have great stuff!!
In Minnesota, there are also many places to shop. There are many malls, stores, and places to buy last- minute gifts. In Colorado, I think many roads are closed, because they are clearing snow. But each place listed above (Michigan, Minnesota, and Denver) all have hotels to stay in.
Based on the information I gave you, which place do you think you want to go?
Have fun on your vacation!!!
P.S. I have been to all three places before, (I live in Michigan, I always visit Minnesota, and I used to live in Colorado) and I think all three are great places to visit.

If you looking for Ice Fishing, well why not Minnesota? They aren't call "Land Of 10,000 Lakes" For no reason.
Shopping, they do have the Mall Of American

Denver has the best shopping and the best winter sports. Michigan and Minnesota hotels can be seedy. Overall, pick Denver. However, it is the most expensive since it is popular.

Well, out of all of those, I've only been to Minnesota before. I love it there though...they have great shopping (Mall of America!), I'm sure the winter sports are good, I've spent time in various hotels there, and I've liked them all. If you visit Minneapolis, make sure to visit St. Paul too...it's one of my favourite cities. Downtown is gorgeous to walk around, the streets are cobblestone and they have all these cute restaurants and parks and everything.

Denver. Beautiful mountains, tons of activities, nice places to eat. Just my opinion, I've never been to Michigan. Minneapolis is really nice with cool poeple, but i'm not sure about vacation appeal

LOL. Denver is a city in Colorado, it isn't a state.
