I have a 1000+ lot of mostly common (multiples of some) Mint/Near Mint 1989 (various brands and teams) baseball cards. Looking up the prices online---it seems that most of the commons are worth about .10 a piece. However, I also have a handful that are worth a few dollars or so. I think the most valuable are a few rookie cards of Randy Johnson.

I would like to sell at least most of the cards all together in one big lot---Where would be the best place to sell them (Ebay, a hobby shop, shopping sites, etc...)? AND about what general price should I sell the lot for in your opinion?
Thanks!

You should know that the popularity of trading cards has gone down dramatically. They're not in big demand anymore, but hold on to them a bit longer .

Unfortunately, the price of cards in that time frame are very low due to the saturation. You may be able to get .01 apiece for the commons. The rookie cards, If you are lucky you may get .50 each. You can never go by the book value. What the book sais and what people will actually buy them for varies extremely.

You should (and I know it would suck) but indivdually check the prices for each card..

Once You get a ball park then take them to ebay and have a reserve price what the cards are worth and sell them as a lot highlighting various cards. They might be worth alot more to someone willing to hold on to them so you might get more than you expect.. but worst to worst you get just what they are worth..

Sounds like none are certified which means you couldn't get a red dime for them. Craigslist is the worst place to sell cards - it's all scumbags and sleazy people trying to rip people off. ebay is the only choice.

check at your local library and see if they have a book that tells the value of the cards. If there is an auction house near you, ask about their specialty sales or if they can value the cards for you.
