At the point President Bush adopts a clear policy that reflects a logical direction he may find he has better support. However it seems that this President only listens to his own drummer common sense be damned.

What bothers me the most about this country and how they view this is that congress can impeach a President for having an affair but not even consider it for a President that is responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths for no purpose. He attacked another country that was not attacking us and presented no threat to us directly.

This country is not only not safer with this President we are at greater risk than ever and our stature in the world has been greatly lessened.

And what did it take to get this President to do something......the people of this country took away the republican control ed congress.
Has he heard the message? With nothing for him to lose in the next election he has not.

And all of this from a self professed compassionate conservative. If this is compassion I think we need to go back to the old conservative ways of business first...then the people.

Yes, I think they are afraid to give up their nice cushy office jobs. If they enlisted they would have to take a cut in their pay work more than they usually do, go on deployments, and be put on the lines so they can get shot at. So, they would much rather use troops as a political tool to further their own careers and get some poor sap to enlist to do their dirty work for them under the false pretense of serving their country when instead they are serving politician's agendas.

With Bush talkin about increasing troop strength I bet he wouldn't dream of sending his kids into the military or any other republican at that.
I saw a post about 90% of the military voted republican dude where did you get your stats because it's wrong. Those in office should be there first to enlist and their families lead by example.

They have so many more important things they can do to support the war.
Like for instance put I support the troops stickers on everyones cars. Those stickers dont stick themselves ya know.

You missed the facts.
From Jan to Sept, 2/3 of all military personnel re-enlisted.
From Jan to Sept, 80,000 brave men & women enlisted.
You don't find hardly any Democrats in the Military. Over 90% vote Republican.
Why aren't any Democrats in the Military? Maybe it's because they are on welfare and on Yahoo.

Recruits are down because the budget cuts made in congress by libnuts provide nothing to support the troops, vets, or their families.

Its simply a better idea to go to school and make a living elsewhere besides the army.

I think Jenna and Barbie should plan to strap M-16s in their old man's sandbox and that there should be some SERIOUS College Republican recruiting. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

I'd just be happy to see Bush fighting out there himself instead of sending millions of men and talking about how they sacrifice them selves for their country while he just supposedly talks for them.

They are afraid to enlist and are sadly no better than the one they serve/worship/reverence; remember...Bush was a draft-dodger himself!
