If so, was the remote OK after it dried out? I know it was a dumb thing to do.

Yeah I'm a bit clumsy like that sometimes when I'm hung over.
I've done the remote twice, car keys and mobile phone once, and
I'm just praying that the wallet isn't next.

As for things working again.
If your quick, pull it apart and leave it to dry out before trying to use it. Put some electrical cleaning spray on it and they sometimes survive.

No but have sent two timex watches through and they took a licking and quit ticking
