It's an instinct with all animals. Unless the dog, since that's the animal you're centering on, is sniffing your crotch try to deal with it. If he's sniffing where he ought not be, slap him firmly on the nose, not hard enough to hurt him, and tell him "no!".

Just tell them no or quit going around them, that is in a sense thier way of "getting" to know you. But I know what your saying it gets annoying. JUst teach them no!
