Everything you see on the internet is copyrighted and you will need permission to use it. Some things will give you permission right on the website but normally that is only for non-profit uses. You really need to seek out the author/artist and get permission before you start printing t-shirts...

Best bet.. make your OWN designs and don't bother with copyright...

Worst bet.. ignore copyright and make a fortune selling t-shirts to WalMart and then get sued by just ONE of the artists and lose everything.

I have found that any images that are subject to copyright on the internet tend to be 'locked' and cannot be grabbed from the screen without grabbing the whole screen and then reducing it down to just the image you want.

So I would venture that if the image can be right clicked and saved straight from the web page then it is not subject to copyright?

well if your going to take a copyrighted picture and put that on a shirt and sell it for your own profit then that's against the law. but if its not copyrighted then its all fair. but know this its all legal until you get caught. so just search for the copyright sign and you'll be OK.

Some images have copyright on them but you can get free pictures from places like Microsoft Clipart Online.
