Could you be thinking of the Battle of Tours?

You may be talking about the Spanish re-conquista. Morroccan Muslims called the Ummyads had set up a state in Spain by defeating the Visogoths in the 8th century AD. The re-conquista began immediatly after in 722 and completed in 1492. But that was only a war for the Iberian penninsula (modern Spain and Portugal). Previously the when the Ummayids conquered Iberia they had pushed into France as well until they were defeated at the battle of Tours. If that battle had gone the other way then you may have a much more Muslim Europe. The only other incident of Muslim penetration of Europe would have been the Ottomans push that was stopped at Vienna. Hope that helps!

Ermm, there never was a time when Muslims had 'all' of Europe, so there can never have been a war which was won by Christians enabling them to take 'all of Europe' The 'war of tores' means nothing. There was a time when Muslims controlled large areas of the Iberian peninsular and there were numerous battles between the Spaniards and the Moors (as the Muslims were called) which led to the latters eventual expulsion. I had wondered if there was a 'Battle of Torres', but a search reveal nothing. You need to be much more precise to obtain any kind of answer.

A recent war has left all the king's castles in ruin. Only the foundations of these once magnificent monuments remain. The war not only robbed the king of his castles, but also of his youth. The now elderly king must choose a successor from among his sons. He has charged them with rebuilding his castles and promised the throneto the one who can rebuild the tallest and largest castles. Tired of war, the king requires that the building be done in peace and a spirit of cooperation. Each prince has 6 knights to supervise the building. Two or more princes may work together on a castle with their knights competing to control the highest towers of the castle. The king will spend each year in a castle and will reward the prince whose knights are guarding him. Once each year, the king will tour the castles, to judge the progress of each son. After he finishes the third tour, he will choose his successor and prepare for his own death. The war of TORES

Are you referring to the Battle of Roncevalles? This battle was the one which stopped the Muslim incursion into northern Europe, and it was immortalized in the medieval epic poem, the Song of Roland.

The Muslims, however, did occupy Spain, Portugal, and Sicily, and the "Reconquista" was not fully accomplished until 1491, when Granada, the last Muslim stronghold in Spain, fell.

the Fall of the Ottoman Empire [Greco-Turk War] 1848, Spanish Inquisiton, and that is all I can muster.

I think is the first one because the Western European powers aided Greece in defeating the Ottoman Empire. However, this broke up all of the Middle East, and left us with the mess we have today.

battles are not wars, and the Spanish Inquisition was not a war.
