I took a clear blue easy yesterday and got a positive result. This morning I took a EPT and it was negative. What's going on??

ClearBlue measures as little as 25 mIU of hCG.
EPT measures as little as 40 mIU of hCG.
Therefore you are between 25-40 mIU of hCG (very early in pregnancy.)

First off, you're obsessing...if the first test was positive, why test again the very next day?

Second, each test measures different levels of hCG, so the ClearBlue Easy might've been more sensitive than the EPT. So much for "error proof test," huh?

Could also be that the first test was a false positive. My advice: give it another week and test again. Or after Christmas go to your doctor and get an hCG quantitative blood test. It's 2 blood tests done 48+ hours apart. When a woman is pregnant, her hCG levels double every 48 hours or so, and depending on where the numbers go after the second test, that'll determine if you're pregnant or not.

Hope you get the outcome you want :)

I would go ahead and act like you are pregnant....no drinking, stuff like that. What a few days and take another test or make an appointment Tuesday at the doctors. Also, like someone before me said the Clear blue easy measures a smaller amount so it detects pregnancy earlier than ept.

A pregnancy test is most accurate when done first thing in the morning, with your first bathroom use. Try again in a couple days, you usually don't get a false positive result so I would say the negative result was wrong.

if you got a positive you were pregnant! maybe the other test didn't work out right? It is very easy to get a false negative pregnancy test, but almost impossible to get a false positive on one, because you would have to be taking an artificial hcg drug for that to happen, and if you are then your doctor told you you would get false results on a home pregnancy test. If you got one positive, go to planned parenthood or your doctor and have your pregnancy confirmed! Congratulations!!!

take another in a week. Its too close together to have gotten a reading from a chemical pregnancy.

more than likely one of the tests was faulty. Probably the negative one.

Well one is right and the other is wrong I would take both again and see if I get different answers! If its the same then try another product.
