.. " i am a 40 years old Muslim Egyptian .."

Does it make you feel comfortable !!?
...

I mean its really educating to watch all that hatred coming out from those repliers to any of the questions that takes in consideration any of the problems that needs discussions!

Questions are very polite!

And people really need to be enlightened of why or how come an old strong beautiful and charming country like Egypt is having the most lazy big mouths!

Its funny to get an answer like that show nothing but frustration and incapability of not even realizing but at least analyzing!

But I guess its how they bring children at home in Egypt that teaches them to just yell back instead of trying to better communicate the matters!

Its typically classic, funny and pathetic!

its just not smart showing your dark sides for IT questions!

You know...most people who haven't lived in the Middle East aren't familiar with the situation, but I know you aren't simply spewing hate or something like that.

Most E'g'yptians really are very loud and obnoxious. You can easily recognize an Egyptian from a crowd of people due to the way he speaks. It is really sad to see, a country with such potential, with people like these.

Thats too bad that you feel Egyptians are defensive. I personally go there every year, and I dont find that kind of attitude in Egypt. Where did you go to find this type of attitude? How long did you stay, and what were the circumstances?

I think that everyone is proud of their roots & heritage, and sometimes that means people get a little defensive. I find the Egyptian people warm, funny, and very involved in solving everyone else's problems. They are genuine, honest, and for the most part, caring. I could give example after example.

I admire the Egyptian people. They sometimes live a harsh life, but they all do the best they can with what they are given in this life. They are generous to a fault, and it's true that anything admired is given to the guest. They are gifted in crafts and trades that no longer exist in other countries. It's no lie that there were times this last December when my husband and I met students in groups. I found them to be very sweet, and very interested in my perspective as an American and a Muslim.

Needless to say, I plan to live there soon, one day. I have grown to love them, and they are my family.

Salams alloutsiders,
Yeah, I think you do have a point, I think it is a matter of cultural thinking, it is a "sin" that you do not defend your country , even if waht is being said is 100 % true.

I lived in the UK for sometime always got harsh questions sometimes about Islam and most of the times about our "beautiful country " turning into this mess in a very short period, I always tried to answer and analyze , but from the experience I learnt that while religion was a very difficult part rfuting it was much more easier than defending "our country ", why is simply because , only closed minded will go into debates such as this , you have to accept the fact ..

WE ARE FALLING APART .. and people outside are not blinde

what was their "obvious problem" again? I have been to many countries and I have yet seen such honorable, hard working, co-operative people. Two Asian girls travelling alone in Egypt, we never felt threaten in anyway, people we came in contact with are very generous are protective of us. We questioned their motive at times, refused their help, went on our own but found that we couldn't do better.

To the person who posted the question, please do not judge people or race based on your upbringing. As the old cliche "don't judge someone until you walk a mile in their shoes." If people lived the way they wanted to live, want does it have to do with you? What make you think the way you right? I, personally might not agree with all, but respect and love the culture differences of all countries.

Never insult an Arab. They are very much full of pride and there's too many hot blooded Egyptians that take offense to anything you say. I used to have quite a few male Egyptian friends and even dated an Egyptian for a while.

There are good and undesirable people in all societies and cultures. the subject of path with any united states of america is that categorical people do no longer see their behavior or perception gadget as incorrect so as that they do no longer sense that they could reform or substitute it. you will discover that everywhere and that's by using fact people are such distinctive creatures that don't share all of the comparable perspectives, techniques, likes or dislikes. This i think of is why the human race is so interesting albeit puzzling to appreciate or administration.
