Well, you can hear from me :-)
I live in New Zealand, and also lived in the US once, for a little while. I liked it. Good fun. I've also lived in France (lovely), England (cool, but a bit too exciting at night for my taste), Sweden (superb, about as nice as New Zealand, in my opinion), Germany (a bit serious, but generally quite relaxed and pretty otherwise), Paraguay (magic place, it's hard to leave there, even though a lot of things aren't quite right about it), and Canada (very pleasant place).

You asked what I think about the US. Hm... Well, I have a lot of fond memories of cruising around in my old Lincoln, hanging out by my pool in Scottsdale, and visiting excellent restaurants with incredible service and valet parking. I'd say I sometimes miss that general gaudiness of lifestyle. In the US, anybody can live a lifestyle like only a millionaire would in most other countries: Driving a car with a V8-engine, living in a house with an air conditioner, and being treated like royalty in restaurants... those things are nice, but you get them in New Zealand and Australia, too (both countries are actually a lot like the US in that regard).

Otherwise, I'd have to say the USA have become something else over the years. I used to admire many things about them that were very advanced for many years, but now that the world has caught up, it's more like... just another place out there, really...

I hope you like my answer.
