I buy my CDs at FYE, or Columbia house. If I wanted to hear censored music I'd listen to it on the radio. Thankfully I don't.

I also stopped buying DVDs there, since they started hounding me for an ID because I bought a rated R DVD. My God they have no spine. I hope Walmart and they're idiotic "family freindly" ways go bankrupt. See what happened to WCW? Same thing. Stop shoving your so called "values" down our throats.

That's why I shop at FYE, Suncoast and Borders. Walmart doesn't even have a good book selection. Unless it's Chicken Soup for the Gutless! LOL!

Anywho, who still buys CDs at Walmart? And why?

No, nobody's "forcing" me to shop there.
It's just the cheapest store.
That's the only reason why I shop there.
Except for CDs and DVDs.

Walmart sells edited CDs for the same reason the radio plays edited songs. Some people have fits if they hear certain words.
When they buy their CDs at Walmart, they expect them to be "clean", because of a pledge they made back when the Parental Adversory sticker was introduced.
There have been even been cases where people bought a CD at Walmart, it wasn't edited, and they sued (google Evanescence and Walmart).
They've asked me for an ID card when buying Dance Dance Revolution (rated E10). Thanks to Walmart, I never forget my ID.

And the question is?

There is nothing forcing you to shop anywhere (whether it is Wal-Mart or FYE or Borders). It is YOUR income and your choice, and you can spend your hard-earned income any way you choose -- but for me, I won't purchase offensive, nasty so-called tunes (which is MY CHOICE).

NOT much is offered that is from the Classical Genre that I enjoy -- so I have to go to other places and purchase there ... and as far as books go -- there is Books-A-Million, Barnes&Noble, and other on-line and store retailers that have massive collections by genres in their stores (I happen to like Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and Specialty Journals which I can't obtain at these giant discounters).

So instead of ranting and raving about your personal "choice" -- respect all others who have their own 'choices' and shop where they want to as well ... for they are also working hard to earn the income to be able to purchase for their enjoyment.

I'm a little confused -- Is someone forcing you to shop at WalMart?

The best way to protest their actions is to not shop there. They continue to provide what they do because they are appealing to a particular demographic. They don't care if they lose you as a customer because there are hundreds more who don't care about their lousy customer service and messy displays and will continue to shop there.

More like Chicken soup for the soul-less.

***** groups get together and have a cry session against wal mart and others threatening them with their huge retard consumer base boycotts because they dont want their children or themselves to be exposed to anything that they may find adverse to their bleek outlook on life.
