It doesn't work that way, your boyfriend probably dealt with a lot of racism before and he it might even be the norm for him. But now you are with him you are seeing it for yourself. Watch the film. 'Save the last dance' If you haven't already.

because they are jealous and having nothing better to do with there sad lifes.and they dont think what they say can hurt peoples feelings because they have none themselves.i get it all the time and with people where i live and i ignore them it hurts them more.
