I do not think that I would do anything to make my kid smarter or better looking genetically if that was possible mainly because that is not going to make them a better person. Sometimes the harder it is to learn something actually makes you smarter, and looks is not everything I think that is shallow because you should love your kids no matter what. If you want to do it to yourself then thats your choice. Now if I could change it to where they were healthier and had a less chance of getting diseases, or I could make it where they could by pass family disorders I would probably do that mainly because I would want my kids to live a long healthy life with no problems. However when its your time to go god is going to take you no matte how healthy you are.

I wouldn't need to make them smarter because if they were anything like me, it would be adequate. Better looking and smelling? I could deal with that.

That's just disgusting. It's your fault if your child isn't motivated about education. And if you want your kid to be better smelling it's your fault for not making them bathe more often.

Yes I would. Why wouldn't you want to help your child out? This of course assumes that the genetic modification "works."
