well there are disturbing the peace laws in many cities, county's,,,,,there are also laws concerning driving, that you must be able to hear emergency vehicles,,, you can check to see what your local city/community ordinances are, the police i would imagine, enforce them when they receive a complaint, or when they notice something and wish to use it as an excuse to investigate further,,,, but other then that, there isnt much you can do,

As many before me have said, this falls under disturbing the peace! Why do we need a new law specifically targeting loud stereos? We are pretty much a "nanny state" as it is.

I would like to propose a new law, let's call it the law to end all new laws! "Any legislative sponser of a law, the offense of which is already covered under existing statutes, shall be confined in a law library until they have memorized all existing laws applicable in the state they represent!"

I figure that if these legislators memorize 1 law every hour, they should have the entire code memorized in something close to 1,000 years, if they are lucky.

Take a look at your county law library, my small county's law library takes up a large room in the county court building! Could anyone ever memorize all of it. For example in New York it is illegal for the first table to be closer than (I forget the actual measurement but it is quoted in 1/8 ths of an inch). That's the job I want! "Look, your table that is nearest to the stage is 1/8 th of an inch too close to the stage, but for 1 hour with that red-head ... we can let it slide! OMFG think of the opportuntiies!

Ah, someone else that needs a time machine so they can go back to the '70's and live in the USSR. Of course, China or North Korea in this age will also do quite nicely. More laws invading personal freedom are not, repeat NOT needed.

While I agree the noise can be obnoxious, the vehicles are never in the area long enough to do any damage. If you are hearing it in traffic, roll up your windows and turn on the a/c for comfort. I also wear foam earplugs that drown out noise and protect my hearing from other road noises as well. Yes, I can still hear the sirens quite well; there is no safety issue in doing this.

If it occurs at the same time as that is chilly and abruptly, the start position of the residing house would bypass somewhat, the frost can bypass deep into the floor for that reason shifting what's interior the way somewhat, or once you've a deck or some thing else connected to the residing house.

Our city charges the person with disorderly conduct but the law is not strictly enforced just as the cell phone law is ignored too.

It seems to be how these laws are enforced is the problem. You see the police can not ticket more of one race more than another as that would be profiling.

There is a law against "Disturbing the Peace". Call the police in a timely manner so the perpetrator can be caught. It is a misdemeanor.

Typically there are noise ordinance laws in most communities, however I believe that there is a certain time criteria that must be in effect first. Other than that, most just deal with it and concentrate making their own distractive noise.
