The best way to deal with diarrhea is to use the BRAT Diet.
B ananas (keeps potassium level up - fresh, mashed)
R ice (mix the bananas or applesauce with fresh cooked rice)
A pplesauce - (made from fresh apples (natural pectin))
T ea - (to keep hydrated, or use pedialyte)
This is the simplest and most natural way to deal with diarrhea.
Because you have an eight-month old, watch for dehydration.
If you "pinch" the babies' skin, and it holds the pinch (or is like pinching newspaper), the baby is dehydrated and needs to see a doctor immediately.
The younger and smaller a child is, the quicker they can become dehydrated, so watch for "wrinkly" skin.
Please, do not starve an 8 month old baby for any period of time!
Dehydration can create a multitude of serious problems.

Well first of it's no wonder he keeps pooping...you keep feeding him! If your child has the runs and a stomachache, putting more food in his stomach isn't a smart idea. At this point your best bet is to just keep him hydrated. Make him a bottle that's 2 parts water to 1 part Pedialyte (not Gatorade, it's too strong!) and let him SIP, not DEVOUR the bottle.
Once the stomach problem has subsided, start him on the BRAT diet: Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. These are gentle on his stomach and high in fiber, which will get his intestines settled a bit.
If this continues for 2 more days or starts to be accompanied by vomiting, get him in to his pediatrician or local urgent care center!

take the baby to the doctor. He or she can become dehydrated. Take away any juices, or fruit, for that can make the diarrhea worse. Doctor! Doctor! The baby could have a virus or worse. Give the baby lots of water or pedialite.

my 12 month old just had something similar happen to her, we were told to push high fiber foods. we were also told to make sure she wasn't getting dehydrated, so we gave her pedialyte, but you can only give him that for up to 24 hours. if you are giving the baby milk products, stop those, but you can give him yogurt they say it kills some things in your system that cause diahrea. good luck if it was anything like my daughter's thing, it lasted a week.

What is good diarrhea?
Seriously, your main priorities are:
1) Staying ahead of possible dehydration (Pedialyte or something of that nature will help).
2) Changing him OFTEN; diarrhea is really rough on baby behinds. Desitin ointment absolutely rocks for this.
3) Wash your hands after each change, like you're prepping to do brain surgery. Soap and water, scrub up. Don't risk even the tiniest possibility of giving them the bug back through poor hand hygeine.
The good thing about baby digestive systems is they're small, which means they can get through one of these quickly if you let them poo it through. Just manage the dehydration and the rash possibilities.
You're doing great, Mom. Light feeding if he wants it, and follow the above. He'll ride it out in short order.

Give him pedialyte so he doen't dehydrate. Also try to give him foods such as bannanas or clear soups like the all famous chicken noodle...lol. These should help him. Call your doctor and make an appointment for a check up, just to be safe.

Get to a doctor. If you can afford an internet subscription and a computer, dear, you can afford to take care of your kid.
I hope this is a troll or a joke. But people are so trifling and irresponsible these days, though. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Don't feed him any solid food right now. Don't feed him any dairy products (milk, formula) right now, either. Feed him clear liquids, and be sure you keep him hydrated.
AND SEE A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY. Your baby may be fighting a "bug" of some kind, and the doctor can help that.

If its really bad take him to Urgent Care.. For real true advice I would call a local pharmacy, that way a pharmacist can give you real medical advice.
If it was my Baby thats what I would do.
Maybe pedia-lyte??
