You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

I think, deleting these very very important system files, you just messed up your PC. Now, sice you have attempted to corrupt your system, either reinstall after uninstalling the IE7 or the whole windows again. "$hf_mig$" and "$NTUninstallK...$" -> it is the uninstall group file, now I also believe that IE7 won't be able to uninstall itself too. srry, but, you are in trouble!! Wy you need your registry to be so clean........ I believe it won't effect your lappy to hold just few more KB's extra instead of any malfunctioning. Once I also did so, but soon realized the fact that registry is no factor to increase speed. sometimes, it is, but not always. Infact, you try installing new windows now(otherwise now or sometime in the future, it'd trouble you). Also, stop, kidding with your system files, and I would also recommend you to hide system files and also the hidden files. don't just install any Registry cleaner, they all are defective, I've myself tested each on of them, everytime it only slows my lappy down. Now, finally I'm running a fresh windows installation without errors and any registry editing tools(bcoz windows itself manages invalid registries, not instantly though!!) and also without any PC cleaner kit for over 1 yr now!! My HDspace is fine, temporary files are around 67MB, a constant count on my weekly scan basis. Registry errors, 23, this is also constant. and I never touch the system files now. so........ goodluck!

most people are having problems with it, i think that it is designed for the new vista that is coming out, and they have launched it in xp to find out the problems with it, if you want to go back to IE6 just go to systems restore and look for when you installed IE7 and pick a date before you installed it , if you can not find one you can create your own restore point if you have problem with that just email me and will try to help you

did you download ie7 of microsoft or elsewhere?
if you got it elsewhere was it because the m$ site would not allow you to download it?
if so it is possible your version of windows is not licenced correctly and during the install process ie7 dials home to check for updates and it could be failing at that point because if it.

I didn't have trouble installing it, it just wasn't sufficiently different or usable as IE6, so I uninstalled it and went back to 6.

Personally I agree - nothing but trouble. Either dump it and go back to IE6 or, better still, dump it and download Firefox.
