to my knowledge the breasts do not strart to produce milk until after the baby is born and the hormones change. so please dont go trying to express any milk you will probably do more harm than good.
it is normal to have sore breasts in pregnancy but if there is an area that is red and hot to touch and you feel ill and or feverish you may have mastitis and you really need to get to the docs for some antibiotics.

Hiya, I had this and it was a blocked milk duct, try putting a flannel/face cloth which has soaked in boiling water, as hot as you can stand, against your boob it will draw the milk to the surface of the nipple and hopefully relieve the pain, if this fails cup your boob in one hand and use flat of other hand to express some of your milk out, you have to apply a little pressure which may hurt a bit to start with!! Take some paracetamol too this will ease the pain!! Not long to go now and you will have your babs!! Good luck and I hope these tips help, they certainly helped my boobs!! Merry christmas to you and yours from Me and mine xxx

could be a blocked duct but im not sure if that would cause your whole boob to swell. it sounds like mastitis. its an infection thats quite common in pregnant or breastfeeding women. go to the doctor you might need antibiotics but I wouldnt worry it is easily treated.

p.s you dont produce milk until the baby is born and has fed for a few days its just colostrum (the first feed that your baby has) try not to express this as it contains all of the vitamins, minerals and antibodies your baby needs for the first few weeks of its life. (babys are born without antibodies and use the ones passed from the mother until they can make there own, thats why babies who are breast fed are generaly not as sick as bottle fed ones. bottle fed babies have to make thee own as and when needed)

You may have a blocked milk duct. Try a hot flannel on it easing it down form the top of your boob.

toward the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy I had this same problem. My breast hurt so bad I couldn't sleep, wear a bra, or even put my seat belt on. I went to my ob, he said I had a infected or clogged milk duct. He gave me meds and it got all better fast. Might want to see your ob for help.
good luck.

I definently think that you should call your doctor on Tuesday morning. You didn't mention if it is warm to the touch. It could be nothing, but they may want to see you. It may be a blocked duct or something like that.

buildup process. The milk have no place else to go so it stays
there and more form.Talk to your doctor about it when you go

Hi it sounds like it could be a blocked milk duct, try expressing a little milk by hand and cold cabbage leaves in your bra (I know it sounds silly but it helps)

don't listen to anyone here who's advice contains nipple stimulation (i.e breast pump/massage) without talking to your dr. nipple stimulations can start labor. It does sound like you have a blocked milk duct and your dr can give you suggestions on how to relieve the pressure.
