Is hostel a true story more or less because everyone says yes!

It's not. Just like everyone thinking the Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a true story...they are wrong. It's all fiction.

It's probably a film inspired by multiple stories. Kinda like a reverse version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Silence of the Lambs, and Psycho are all based on one demented old guy named Ed Geins. None of those stories are completely true but based on aspects of what Geins did.

Eli Roth got a website from a friend which showed people able to buy the deaths of others. Eli thought this may be false but even if it was there is still someone out there making sites like these.

wolf creek happened in australia and it was somewhat similar to hostel as far as tourist were concerned did u check out the orginal chainsaw massacre that was a true story and they still to this day havent caught the dude but the remake with jessica biel puts me on seats edge

It's true as so far that you can buy everything in eastern Europe.
And for instance in Africa people are kidnapped off the streets to "volunteer" their organs to those that can afford them.

i had heard the movie was loosely based on something that was happening in thailand where you could pay 10000 dollars to walk in a room and shoot a total stranger in the head

I highly doubt it. Now that is not to say there may have been a few incidents similar, but I really hope that our society is not that depraved.
