Send the question again and mention exactly who makes the phone, model number. Cingular is not enough to go on. Also, mention how the phone is getting the data, BlueTooth from your computer, USB or Internet? When you say you "delete and add", what does that mean? Are you deleting a Cingular ringtone for each one that you add? Well, maybe their ringtones are smaller file size. Are these commercially produced ringtones or some you edited yourself? What settings do you use in your editing software (such as iTunes)? What is the length of these song-bits?

If you mean that you delete a ringtone and then add the same exact ringtone back onto the phone and the space keeps shrinking, maybe you have tried to delete some files but they didn't really delete. Or maybe you have taken some photos or recorded some videos, if your phone has that feature. I don't think the phone is just adding some file at random to take up space. Must be some data you have added.
